2 Early Morning Drive-by Shootings – 4th Shooting in Two Days

SPRING HILL – Authorities are currently on the scene of a possible drive-by shooting that occurred early this morning, in front of a duplex located at 2663 Landover Blvd. According to a witness, who asked to remain anonymous, around 5:30 a.m. she stepped outside her door and heard 3-shots “bam, bam, bam” as a vehicle drove southbound on Landover Blvd. The witness says she ran back in the house and immediately called 911. There are no reported injuries at this time.

Officials are reporting that another shooting occurred at 7331 Apache Trail, just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, causing damage to vehicles but no one was injured. Officials say it’s too early in the investigation to determine if the shootings are related.

There is speculation, that the shooting on Landover Blvd, Apache Trail and yesterday’s shooting on Linden Drive, that injured one person, are all related. Some say, disputes over drug deals may be what led to the shootings.

There are unconfirmed reports that a vehicle searched at residence on Deltona Blvd Friday, may have been involved in the shooting on Linden Drive.

An unrelated shooting occurred at 811 Twigg Street, just before 11:00 p.m. Friday, sending one man to a local trauma center, with non-life threatening injuries. Officials say they have no suspect information at this time.

UPDATE: 10:57 A.M. – We spoke to one of the victims on Apache Trail, who said she was home with her husband and two children when the shooting occurred. According to the victim, just after 1:00 a.m. she heard at least 10 gunshots outside their home. After deputies arrived, they discovered bullet holes in both their vehicles and one near the front door of the residence. They claim to have no idea why they were targeted or who the shooter could be.
