UPDATE: 1:18 P.M. – Hernando County School’s Spokesperson, Karen Jordan, provided the following statement: “Weeki Wachee staff found a message on a bathroom wall. HCSO has investigated and performed a full sweep of the campus. They believe there is no credible threat to campus. They will continue to provide support to the school.” Jordan also stated that no gun or shooting was mentioned in the writing, which conflicts with witness accounts.
WEEKI WACHEE – A school shooting threat at Weeki Wachee High School has Parents, students, and staff on edge, and an investigation is underway.
REGIONAL – Another mass school shooting claimed the lives of at least 10 people and injured several others, after officials say 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis walked into the Santa Fe High School in Texas and opened fire. Police are also reporting that Pagourtzis planted pressure cooker type bombs around the school but there are no reports of detonation.
