  • Not everyone with a MENTAL ILLNESS is a murder.. There are more people who are mentally STABLE and NORMAL that abuse/kill their CHILDREN, PETS, and Significant OTHERS.. Maybe MOM had to work and left the baby in the care of someone she thought was able to care for the child.. I have 4 adult children, I started young… We all made it through together.. They NEVER said it was the MOM that left the baby……. LET THOSE WHO HAVE NO SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE….. WHY CAN’T PEOPLE JUST BE GRATEFUL AND THANK GOD THAT THE BABY IS SAFE… Give the police and DCF a chance to do their jobs, what is someone kidnapped the baby and then left her? AND WHY IN GOD’S NAME DID THE FOCUS SHIFT FROM A BABY TO SOMEONE NOT WEARING SHOES??? WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH A CHILD BEING LEFT??? PRIORITIES, PEOPLE, PRIORITIES! THANK YOU to the OFFICERS for doing a GREAT JOB for this baby and all the rest of US, you SERVE and PROTECT!!!

  • First if all any woman who leaves there 3 month old baby at walmart mental illness or not shouldnt be allowed to have that child cause things will get worse for that poor baby and next time the child may end up dead. Look at that poor little girl whos father threw her over the skyway bridge the state gave him his daughter back and he wound up killing her and he had mental illness also.

    • It says the child was left in the care of someone who “may have” had mental disabilities. Not the mother. I think because there have been so many bad things happening, that people are just jumping to conclusions with anything that is reported. We need to chill until all the facts are in.

    • There’s some barefoot movement going on. It’s a thing. It’s gross but I’m seeing people hash tagging and pulling out the legalities of it everywhere. Saw a post (local) of a family who went all over town barefoot even in restaurants.

    • HE may be the incompetent one with mental issues who the child was left with is my guess. I’m also betting the mother left the baby with him in the store, and left the store for whatever reason, with plans to come right back….maybe to run get something from her car and took too long, or even ran to p/u something or someone and came right back to get them. I’m also guessing that if he is the mentally impaired, incompetent one, that he probably walked off and left the baby and wandered through the store, which probably set all of this in motion. If it had been anything seriously detrimental, I don’t think they would have given the baby back to its mother so quickly. This DOES show serious lack of good judgement on her part though. Let’s hope it’s a hard lesson learned.

  • Thank God the baby is ok. We were there and believe it happened as we entered the store and saw them. Thanks go to the sheriff and his fine deputies for doing such a great job.

  • At least the child was left unharmed, could be a blessing that she was left and found safe.
