Arrest Made in Pharmacy Bomb Threat, Suspect Could Face Federal Charges
SPRING HILL – Deputies responded to 6459 Holiday Drive this morning after information revealed that the suspect in yesterday’s pharmacy bomb scare would be at that location.
According to sources, investigators approached 32-year-old Aaron James Sanders while he was sitting on the front porch of the residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Officials believe that Sanders is responsible for planting a hoax bomb at the Oak Hill Pharmacy, located at 10101 Cortez Blvd yesterday that led to the evacuation of several businesses, including a daycare filled with children.
Sanders is charged with Planting a Hoax Bomb, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon (The Hoax Bomb), and Possession of said Weapon in a pharmacy.
Sanders is currently held at the Hernando County Jail without bond.
The FBI, State Fire Marshal, are also investigating the incident and additional charges are possible.
Depending on final analysis of the device, additional charges could be added if explosives are discovered.
