Attempted Homicide Suspect Nabbed by Brooksville Police
BROOKSVILLE – Within hours of learning the whereabouts of two fugitives who were wanted out of Polk County on weapons charges, Brooksville Police executed a search warrant and successfully apprehended the suspects, early this morning.
According to Captain Rick Hankins, 28-year-old Jabbar Rashad Bryant and 24-year-old Seth Arnett Brunson Jr., both of Lakeland, were wanted in connection with an attempted homicide out of Polk County. Hankins says they received information last night that the suspects were hiding Hickory Crest Apartments on Hickory Street. Hoping to catch the suspects before they moved out of the area, Police surrounded the apartment and executed a search warrant around 7:00 a.m. Both men were taken into custody without incident.
Brunson faces charges of Attempted Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, among other charges. Bryant is charged with Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Aggravated Assault, and a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Two other individuals were arrested at the scene on unrelated charges.
A vehicle that was reported stolen out of Polk County was also recovered and towed back to Brooksville Police Headquarters.
