Back to Back Suspicious Fires Destroy Mobile Home – Firefighter Injured

BROOKSVILLE – For the second time in 24 hours, firefighters responded to a mobile home fire at the 24000 block of Duffield Road. According to Officials, Fire Rescue responded to the home, where they located a small fire on the front porch. The fire was quickly extinguished, resulting in minimal damage. This morning at 3:45 a.m. 911 operators received a second report of a fire at the same location, but this time the entire structure was engulfed in flames before Firefighters arrived on the scene.  Officials say one Firefighter sustained minor injuries while working the fire – he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.

Due to the suspicious nature, local fire officials requested the State Fire Marshal investigate the cause.
