Bad Hair Day Leads to Man’s Arrest
BROOKSVILLE – According officials with the Brooksville Police Department, 36-year-old Ernest Alton Fairley was in need of a haircut, so he stopped at a Barber Shop located at 320 N. Broad Street early this morning.
For reasons unknown, Fairley decided not to pay for his haircut and left the barbershop. Not long after the offense, Fairley called 911 and told the operator that he wanted to go to jail. Police made contact with Fairley at the Hernando County Courthouse and placed him into custody. Fairley was transported to the Hernando County Jail and booked on one count of theft.
Fairly remains behind bars at this time, held on a $500 bond.
It should be noted that in April of this year, Fairley was arrested on numerous counts of Dealing in Stolen Property, Defrauding a Second Hand Dealer,Fraud and Grand Larceny. Fairley accepted a plea deal to avoid jail time less than a month ago. It is not known at this time how this new case will affect his deal with the state.
