Bands Plan to “Rock the Block” Against Bullying

SPRING HILL – If you’re looking for good food, clean fun, and great music this weekend, you need look no further than right here in your own backyard.

The 4th annual Rock the Block concert takes place this Saturday at Rookies Sports Bar & Grill, featuring well-known acts, like Sunshine & Bullets, Murderfly, Hard Target, Amp Music, Mr. Bella, and Clinchfist.

Both local and national artists come together each year to help raise awareness about the bullying epidemic in our schools. This year, organizers hope to raise enough money to award select students with scholarships and maybe provide food for needy families.

We spoke recording artist, Anthony Arenz, who will be performing at Saturday’s event and he says “I just want to do something good for the community.”

Arenz admits that he was “one of those kids” who laughed at less fortunate kids growing up, and after “asking God for forgiveness” he decided to make amends by using his music to raise awareness. CLICK HERE FOR SAMPLE

The all-ages show begins at 6 pm and runs through 11 pm. There is no charge for entry.

Rookies Sports Bar & Grill is located at 3095 Anderson Snow Road in Spring Hill.
