Bicyclist Suffers Traumatic Injuries After Struck by SUV

SPRING HILL – Fire Rescue is on the scene of a crash involving an SUV and a bicyclist.

According to sources, a bicycle was struck at the intersection of Forest Oaks Blvd and Rhanbuoy Road. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and may have suffered a severe head injury.

The victim will transported to Bayonet Point Hospital by ground for treatment.

There is road blockage in the area at this time.

  • 1) it was thunderbird and forest oaks
    2) the SUV didnt strike the bike rider. He was drunk pulled out of a sIde road and into the sIde lf a moving suv. There was multiple witnesses. And marks on the SUV proving it was the responsability of the drunk man on the bike.

  • Yes ! Head injuries are the worst imaginable injury, especially if you live, then is when the nightmare begins. Your right Tami, a helmet may have made a difference. We do a head injury support group once a month, every third Tuesday of the month. Brooksville Bayfront in the Enrichment Center, from 3 to 5. This guy may really need us soon, but anyone that wishes to learn about the brain is welcome.

    • Well, the lady who ran that enrichment center for many yrs died of a traumatic head injury herself 10mos. ago. 🙁
