BREAKING: BB&T Bank Robbed Again, Suspects Captured in Brooksville
UPDATE: 4:59 P.M. – Sources tell RNRF that Fire Rescue has responded to the Sheriff’s Office, after one of the suspects claimed to suffer from chest pain. There are no further details at this time.
SPRING HILL – For the second time is less than a month, the BB&T Bank at Spring Hill Drive and Commercial Way has been robbed – but this time they didn’t get away.
According to sources, around 2:00 p.m. today. a white male robbed the bank and then fled the area in a black Toyota Camry, possibly driven by a black male. There are unconfirmed reports that these are the same suspects responsible for other recent bank robberies, including the one last month at the same location.Within 20 minutes of the robbery, according to officials, a plain clothed detective spotted the suspect’s vehicle at the intersection of Cortez Blvd and the Truck Route (west). A felony traffic stop was conducted and both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
There are unconfirmed reports that at least one of the suspects has already spent time in prison for a previous bank robbery.
