BREAKING: County Commissioner Charged with Operating Brothel
SPRING HILL – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Hernando County Commissioner Nick Nicholson.
According to officials, an incident that took place on February 20that 4580 Tiburon Ave involving a domestic dispute.
Deputies interviewed the alleged victim, Valerie Surette, and determined that an altercation took place with her husband, Kendal Surette. The altercation turned violent, when Kendal threw a screwdriver at the victim and he was subsequently arrested for domestic battery.
During the investigation, officials say information was obtained regarding allegation of other criminal activity occurring in the residence.
Vice and Narcotics Detectives and the FDLE began an investigation, and arrested 71-year-old Nicholson on charges of operating a place of prostitution and engaging in prostitution.
Nicholson is held on a $3,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
