BREAKING: One Confirmed Dead in Small Plane Crash
SPRING HILL – Just before 9:00 a.m. this morning, Fire Rescue responded to 13088 Little Farms Road, after a small plane crashed behind the residence.
An official report has not been released at this time but according to our sources, the pilot and only occupant did not survive the crash.
One witness told RNRF that he saw the plane heading towards the airport when the pilot suddenly took a hard right and crashed behind the residence.
At this time, there are no reports of damage to residences or injuries on the ground.
The plane is reportedly a Cessna 206.

UPDATE: 9/18/2015, 10:29 A.M. – Officials with the Sheriff’s Office has released the following updated information:
A Cessna 206 amphibian, with pontoon, crashed in the backyard of a residence located at 13088 Little Farms Drive in Spring Hill. The one soul on board was a fatality. The plane was en route from Odessa to Orlando, but was in contact with the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV) tower prior to the crash. There are no details at this time regarding specific communications between the pilot and BKV.
Neighboring homes were temporarily evacuated, but have now been allowed to return. No other injuries have been reported.
