Charges Likely for Spring Hill Man, After 4-Car Wrong Way Collision
HUDSON (PASCO) – Four people were injured this evening, after a Spring Hill man, who officials say may have been intoxicated, crashed head on with another vehicle, on U.S19 near Sanderling Lane.
According to the FHP, 30-year-old Matthew Joseph Oliver was driving his 2009 Dodge Journey northbound in the southbound lanes, when he struck a 2005 Nissan Armada, driven by 37-year-old Jose Jacquez, also of Spring Hill.
A third vehicle, driven by 57-year-old Cathleen Stiles, took evasive action but struck a light pole. A fourth vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Maria Delos Angeles Sanch, was struck by the falling pole.
None of the victims were seriously injured except Oliver, who was transported to Bayonet Point in Serious condition.
Oliver is expected to survive and charges are pending according to officials.
