Charity Helps Wounded Veteran Skydiving Program

SPRING HILL – One local charity is helping Veterans literally Dive into rehabilitation. Undisputed Runs is a virtual fitness and event site, geared towards sponsoring events that support select charities. For the months of May and June Undisputed Runs has teamed up with Operation Enduring Warrior to raise money for OEW’s skydiving program.
The mission of OEW is to empower and motivate U.S. wounded Military Service Members. Their physical, mental and emotional rehabilitative cycle is modeled to overcome adversity and hardship through innovation, teamwork and perseverance; ultimately, enabling a wounded warriors’ life to go in directions they once thought was impossible.
OEW Vice President, Ray Laberto says “The skydiving program helps fund supplies, like special harnesses, for amputee veterans to still be able to jump.” He goes on to say “This is our first year teaming up with Undisputed Runs, and the virtual runs are hard, but with every post they’re catching on.”
Race distances range from 5k to full length marathons and each participant will receive a 5 inch double-sided spinner medal upon completion. Registration is $28.00 and $5.00 from every registration goes directly to OEW.
