Con Man Bilks Over $134K from Disabled Woman, Spends $10K in Strip Clubs
PASCO – A Holiday man is behind bars today after officials say he convinced a psychologically disabled person to move from to Florida from Connecticut, where he bilked more than $134,000 from her bank account.
According to Officials, 48-year-old William Robert Tideberg was booked into the Pinellas County jail Monday, charged with 2-counts of exploitation of a disabled person.
Officials say Tidberg lured Maryanne Anderson to Florida after meeting her online and later gained access to her bank account. Detective Gary Souto says Tideberg withdrew $134,910 from Anderson’s account and spent nearly $10,000 at local adult entertainment clubs.
With the assistance of the Tarpon Springs Police Department, Tideberg was arrested at his home on Wood Pointe Drive in Holiday. Tideberg remains behind bars on a $100,000 bond.
