Couple Arrested After Fighting Over Marijuana Purchase
SPRING HILL – A couple is facing mutual domestic battery charges after a “drug deal gone bad.”
According to officials, 18-year-old Caitlyn Renea Goshorn of 12214 Buckingham Way became engaged in a verbal dispute with her live-in boyfriend, 22-year-old Joshua Brooks, over the purchase of marijuana.
While sitting in their driveway, Brooks claims Goshorn slapped him in the face to get his attention. Goshorn claims the fight continued outside of the vehicle, where Brooks punched her in the eye and shoulder.
The incident occurred last Wednesday but wasn’t reported to the Sheriff’s Office until Friday. That’s when deputies placed both Goshorn and Brooks into custody, charging them with domestic battery.
The couple has since posted bond and has been ordered to have no contact with each other.
The question is, who gets to go home to their mutual residence?
