Cyclist Struck by Car Sustains Possible Head Injury

SPRING HILL – A man sustained a possible head injury, after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Deltona Blvd and Bay Drive, while riding a bike. There are unconfirmed reports that the injured cyclist lost consciousness for a short period of time before Fire Rescue arrived on scene. His condition at this time is unknown.

There is some road blockage but traffic is moving smoothly.

The Florida Highway Patrol will be investigating the cause of the crash.

  • I ride my bicycle all over and generally with my daughter and actually at the same exact spot once a week. Maybe Ive been lucky but Ive found most people respectful. Regardless I still keep my paranoia about me. Ive had a couple people come a little too far off the road for comfort. Better safe than sorry.
