Damaged Railroad Crossing Closes Westbound Hwy 50

BROOKSVILLE – The westbound lanes of Highway 50 are temporarily closed due to an issue with the railroad crossing near South Main Street.

Sources say a large piece of steel is protruding from the tracks, causing a hazard for motorists and possibly railway traffic.

There is no word on how long the roadway will be closed.
