Deputies Discover Meth in Suspects “Trunk”
SPRING HILL – On Monday deputies responded to 19132 Stromberg Ave in reference to a residential burglary. Upon arrival, deputies witnessed 30-year-old Thomas Adams, standing near the driveway of the residence. According to officials, while conducting a search of Adams, deputies located a hypodermic needle and a plastic bag containing a clear substance. A field test on the substance confirmed that it was Methamphetamine.
During interview, Adams admitted to the deputies that he used the hypodermic needle to inject the drug but that this was only his second time using it. After being asked several times if he had any other illegal drugs on him, Adams responded, “No that’s all I have on me.” Adams was placed under arrest and charged with possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the booking process at the jail, detention deputies discovered a clear plastic bag with a crystal like substance in Adams’ anal cavity. As a result, Adams received an additional charge of Introducing Contraband into a jail facility. Adams has since been released on $3,000 bond.
