    • Parents should be charged and arrested for leaving a 9 and 10 year old alone, especially with access to a gun! IDIOTS!

    • prayers are worthless. more than worthless because they give people a false sense of helping. the only help for these cases is no more guns. sorry trumpets.

      • Gun control is right!! The gun should have been locked up and not accessible to children. Parents fault not guns and yes we are praying the child comes through this ok. Pray for you Nadine as well

      • You are a complete moron…..This is not a gun control issue. This is a lack of parenting. I own several guns including an AR-15 and have taught my kids to respect guns enough to not touch them unless we are at the shooting range or if someone comes into our home and they need to defend themselves. You are the piece of garbage that wants to preach gun control but when you are getting robbed, you want someone with a gun to come rescue you. Well, good luck with that.

        • You might reread what I said, You sound like a lib jumping to conclusions and calling people names. The only thing I was saying was the parents should have had the gun locked up. I do not believe in “gun control” so please take a breath. They should have been in control of their gun.

  • Oh my..in God’s hands right now !! Sounds bad, a bullet to the brain. But…the brain is vigilant, strong and will fight to survive. He may be fine. I do a brain injury support group once a month, every month, at Bayfront Hospital Brooksville, in the Enrichment Center. You’ll get very few of your many questions answered by the medical professionals, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can assist you in any way.

    • The article does indicate whether or not the child sustained a brain injury. It says he has a head wound. Hopefully the brain was not involved. In fact if the victim was alert and talking I doubt if the bullet penetrated his skull. We’ll see.

  • This is a DCF case but they will not do anything where were the parents where was the gun ??????

    Monday, 18 December 2017, 4:45 pm
    • Why would it be a DCF case? They hire privatised companies to handle everything- .. THEY (DCF& their dirty works coops) Are much too busy destroying lives, to waste their time and money investigating and protecting children.
