DEVELOPING: Crazed Man Drives Car into County Jail Flagpole
BROOKSVILLE – Deputies responded to the Hernando County Jail this evening, after a detention deputy reported a verbal disturbance in the parking lot near the main entrance.
An official report has not been released, but according to our sources an unidentified man began yelling at staff in the parking lot for unknown reasons. Minutes later, the man jumped in a red Chevrolet Captiva and began driving recklessly through the lawn, before crashing his vehicle into one of the flagpoles in front of the jail.
The driver has been detained but it is unknown what, if any charges he may face at this time.
