UPDATE: 3:31 P.M. – Officials say the suspect has apparently taken his own life.
Officials released the following statement: The Barricaded Individual situation on Cape Cod Loop (Nantucket Cove Apartments) in Spring Hill has been resolved.
UPDATE: 2:42 P.M. – Several concerned parents have inquired about nearby Notre Dame Catholic School. Administrators would not comment but according to a Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson, the school in not on lockdown at this time.
SPRING HILL – Sheriff’s Deputies are on the scene of a standoff inside the Nantucket Cove Apartments, where sources say man has barricaded himself inside one of the apartments and may be armed.
The investigation is still very fluid at this time.

What was the situation on the incident involving the veteran named Doc? I am a veteran and I don’t remember this particular incident.

Sheriffs office loading up with tactical gear in response to a potential armed and dangerous barricaded person… time to bring the kids outside and get a good look and hang out.. seems logical.
From my apartment I can see the deceased man’s apartment apparently they are not done in there yet and he probably is still inside until the medical examiner comes police are still here but SWAT is gone one part is still taped off
All of this was over and just about done when children are coming home from school they would just escorted inside the leasing office and they had to stay there parents should not let their kids come out and stand there and look at this they should be told to keep it moving
