DEVELOPING: Man Electrocuted While Working Near Power Lines

BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue is on the scene of a possible fatality, after sources say a utility worker was electrocuted while working on or near power lines.

The incident occurred at the northbound exit ramp of I-75 and Cortez Blvd where paramedics are attempting to resuscitate the victim.

Bayflite will be airlifting the patient to a trauma center for treatment.

  • The article says utility worker not electrical worker / lineman. There is a lot of underground power in that area and a lot of equipment digging around the area with all the road construction going on. Prayers for sure
