Disturbing Details Released in Rape of Disabled Woman – Man Charged
BROOKSVILLE – Officials with the Brooksville Police Department are reporting the arrest of a man suspected of raping a disabled woman on May 20th of this year.
According to reports, 56-year-old Walter Brian McCray is charged with sexual assault on a disabled person, lewd and lascivious and felony battery.
Officials say McCray was drinking with the victim at her apartment in the early morning hours, when he became aggressive and asked the victim to perform oral sex on him. When the victim who is bound to a wheelchair refused, McCray punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground. McCray then mounted the woman and began choking her, while removing her shorts and threatening to kill her.
After sexually assaulting the victim, McCray fled the residence before officers arrived on the scene.
This morning officers located McCray visiting a friend on Hernando Street and placed him into custody.
McCray remains behind bars, held on a $17,000 bond.
