Dramatic Video Shows Alleged Truck Thief Taken Down by Sheriff’s Deputies
SPRING HILL – Tense moments for Hernando County Sheriff’s Deputies last night, after a known-car thief was found sitting in a stolen pickup truck outside a local gas station.
RNRF received information that 30-year-old Jeffrey Fatkin of Spring Hill was wanted out of Pasco County for stealing a blue Ford F-250. Investigators out of Pasco County contacted Hernando County, after they pinged the suspect’s cell phone and determined that he was at the Speedway Gas Station located at 4707 Commercial Way.

Fatkin initially refused to cooperate with deputies as they repeatedly yelled at him to step out of the truck and lie on the ground. Eventually, Fatkin complied and was taken into custody without further incident. Fatkin is charged with vehicle theft, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. He remains behind bars on a $4,000 bond.
Fatkin has a long history of arrests in Pasco County, including several charges for vehicle theft, battery and drug offenses.
