Early Morning Head-on Collision Claims Wesley Chapel Man’s Life

WEBSTER – An early morning head on collision at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Richloam Clay Sink Rd. left one person dead and another in serious condition.

According to officials, 33-year-old Robert Michael Rudman of Wesley Chapel was traveling westbound in his 2006 Honda Civic, when for reasons unknown he traveled into the eastbound lanes, directly into the path of an incoming Semi-Tractor Trailer. The driver of the Semi, 50-year-old Jose Antonio Moux Rivera of Orlando sustained serious injuries and was transported to Dade City Hospital for treatment. Rudman sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

  • I really wish they would four lane 50 from ridge manor to Mascotte. Every time I drive that way, I see so many near misses from people attempting to pass. And unfortunately, it’s the quickest route to the Clermont/Orlando area.

  • Rest in peace Robert but I can tell you one thing today is truck driver appreciation day and I just want to say to all in the family anybody else is listed as a truck driver has to live with that the rest of his life know it did that man died in that traffic accident even though it wasn’t his fault he still has to live with that the rest of his life this is what we have to live with out here as being a truck driver I went over the road driver I bought these highways day in and day out I’m on my way to Brooksville right now God baby with you and your family in this tragedy time both you and the person that girl that Truck god bless you all have a good day
