Early Morning Stabbing Leaves One Dead, Investigations Underway
UPDATE: 4/3/2017, 1:41 P.M. – The Sheriff’s office has identified the victim as 25-year-old Christopher Coleman. Officials say the case has been turned over the State Attorney’s Office and no further details will be released at this time.
SPRING HILL – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning stabbing that left a 25-year-old man dead.
Residents who live in the area of Brookside Street and Corrine Ave woke to sound of dozens of sheriff’s deputies, after a man was allegedly stabbed to death in front 12385 Corrine Ave around 1:30 a.m.
Officials aren’t commenting on the details of the investigation but they say all parties are accounted for.
One neighbor tells RNRF that the victim was stabbed in the street, where he later collapsed and died at the scene.
It is not known at this time what led to the stabbing or why the incident took place in that area.
The victim’s identity has not been released and it is not known if charges will be filed against the suspect.
