EDITORIAL: White, Christian, Conservative, Males – The Most Deplorable of Them All

By Tom Lemons

If I were to show you a graph of the which races, creeds, political affiliations and gender are the most despised in this country right now, you might be surprised to find out that it’s the white, Christian, Conservative, Male, or WCCM. By now, you’re probably saying to yourself, “Oh, here goes another conservative, Trump voting journalist, spouting off about protecting his Second Amendment rights… Probably a Nazi…” Well, you would be right about one thing, abhorrence for the WCCM is proliferating at an accelerated rate and minorities are not to blame, despite what certain extreme liberal media outlets would like you to believe. Because propagating false narratives about WCCMs is the only way they keep far-left politicians in positions of power and influence. Don’t get me wrong, a large number of Republicans have completely lost their way and are as worthless as their big smiling, baby kissing faces – but I digress.

Let’s break it down.

Gun Violence: The term in itself makes no sense at all because guns can’t commit acts of violence, but that’s one of left’s subliminal catch phrases that keep people believing that an inanimate object has a mind of its own. What does this have to do with WCCM? According to a TIME magazine article titled, One Undeniable Factor In Gun Violence: Men, “Male gun owners are more likely to bind their recreational lives and identities to their guns and “gun culture”: they hunt, go shooting, watch gun-related shows in TV, and seek out more gun-related recreation and information.” Gender attack! Then then they go on to political affiliation; “Ninety-one percent of Republican gun owners agree that “the right to own guns is essential to their own sense of freedom.” Political Attack! And here is the author’s race blame; “White men are much more likely to own guns than non-whites, and the “super-owners” amassing arsenals of weapons are particularly likely to be white, male and conservative. Among gun hoarders — those who own at least five guns — almost half say being a gun owner is “very important” to their identity.” Race Attack! But that’s not the most shocking quote from the article; “The gun is simply the (extremely literal) external symbol of the underlying ideology: White male power comes through physical domination,” the author writes. And of course it goes on to point out, “Women, immigrants and people of color are doing better than in the past, but we are not anywhere close to overtaking the white male grip on power.”

Within hours of the deadliest mass murder in American History, the left was already preparing speeches and talking points on how to legislate gun control. And of course gun toting, Trump voting, WCCMs were immediately demonized as those most likely to commit mass murder in this country.

Domestic Violence: The Violence Against Women Act pretty much says it all when it comes to who are considered victims and who are considered the perpetrators of most violence. Just about every government agency and advocacy group use the same statistics, that 1 in 4 women have experienced some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime. That may be true but what they don’t report is that 1 in 7 men are also victims and they are less likely to report the crime, which essentially makes it an equal occurrence. But that wouldn’t be as appealing, so they just stick to the narrative of men are far more likely to commit domestic violence than women. Oh, and it should be noted that VAWA was enacted in 1994 by then-Senator Joe Biden under the guidance of advocacy groups that were comprised of radical feminists. Just a minor detail.

Christianity: If you live life on social media sites, then you haven’t missed the onslaught of anti-Christian memes. There seems to be no end to the catchy little phrases that tickle the fancy of the Alt-Left, like “Christianity: because thinking is hard” or “Prayer: how to do nothing and still think you’re helping.” The list goes on and on. But to be a Christian alone isn’t as offensive to the left as being a total WCCM.

Racism: I saved the most delicate element for last because I want to make sure that my readers understand that I am not attacking minorities, I’m simply pointing out that a large number of minorities think WCCMs are white supremacist. And again, because the liberal media keeps driving the “White Privilege” super train at full throttle, down their viewer’s throats. One need to look no further than the attacks on President Donald Trump, after Hurricane Maria virtually destroyed Puerto Rico.

As it became more apparent that Maria would hit Puerto Rico head on, the “media” went into a frenzy to prepare their Trump bashing scripts on how long it took for aid to reach the island, even though Dozens of ships, cargo, and troops were already headed to Puerto Rico as soon as the storm past. But this was a “perfect storm” for liberals, no pun intended, because the majority of Hispanics are Democrats, making Trump an easy target for ridicule, especially with “Trump’s anti-immigrant” still on top rotation at CNN and MSNBC.

Last week I covered a Celebration of Patriotism event in Brooksville that drew dozens of former NFL fans who were protesting players for disrespecting the National Anthem.  During the event, some attendees burned NFL merchandise worth thousands of dollars which outraged many of our viewers. The ensuing debate that took place on the RNRF Community Facebook Page resulted in extremely racist remarks, not only towards those who participated in the event, but towards me for covering it as well. I won’t reveal the identities of those who made the remarks but one woman chastened me for choosing the Patriot event over a Puerto Rican recovery event that was held at the same time. She said, “…Selective reporting. It’s all about the Benjamin huh…” Another woman said, “…there are only white people in the picture… Get over it, they didn’t stand big f***ing whoop,” referring to NFL players not standing for the National Anthem. But I think the most profound comment was from a woman who said, “I’m surprised no one wore their robes and hoods.” I asked the woman if she thought all white, conservative Trump supporters were racist and she said, “Most Trump supporters are racist and most white conservatives are racist as well and they’re disgustingly proud of it.” The vitriol continued and is probably still going now.

Antipathy towards WCCMs has been building for decades but it wasn’t until then-candidate Trump laid out his campaign platform that WCCMs became public enemy number one. But men aren’t the only victims of this Civil Cold War. Michelle Obama was recently quoted as saying, “Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice.” She went on to say that female voters for Trump were just “going with the pack.”

In closing, I want to make it very clear that I’m not suggesting one segment of society is responsible for attacking WCCMs. I’m saying that radical liberal politicians are indoctrinating Democrat voters with hate and intolerance towards WCCMs and anyone that doesn’t agree with them.

I know some of you are saying, “Oh you’re just trying to be a Breitbart or FOX News,” but do you really think CNN and MSNBC are “fair and balanced.”

I’ll end this editorial with a few nifty little memes that someone recently shared (See Below).

  • Once again, you all took the bait that Tom Lemons put out for you!

  • I have a couple friends in the WCCM category. Hard working good fathers with kids in college. Here is the problem, they leak, get a couple beers in them and talk about the NFL controversy and here come the racist comments…… Efin spoiled Nigg***, millionaire monkeys…… They attend church on Sunday and they voted for Trump… Read the comments on a Fox news article about Michelle or Barack Obama, or comments on RNRF if a suspect is black….. very colorful.

My opinion is that racists and hate mongers feel emboldened in this current political climate

    • So you’re saying that only white men, between working and putting their kids through college, have the special inclination to get liquored up and pass negative judgment upon people of color? All due respect, you need to disengage from the cyber-make-believe world and get out there and meet real people. Make your own judgments! You have taken the bait and are thinking the screwball stuff you’re supposed to.

The true “Problem” we have are not the people who know nothing, its the 80% who know things that just aren’t true.

Church, liquored up,Trump, racism…. I strongly suggest staying away from CNN and MSNBC and open your mind.

    • I come from a family like that. Both parents, grandparents, and others. They did not even need beer. Would swear up and down they were not racist. Took me a long time to deprogram from that.

      Saturday, 7 October 2017, 4:48 pm
      • what I said is a have a personal experience with Trump voters who Loosen up over a beer or two (not drunks) and openly display racism. I also stated that black suspects featured on this site are often attacked with racial slurs. The same is true on Fox news with stories containing the Obama’s
        I see a pattern

Racists are emboldened in this political climate…..

  • I’m a latter 50’s (ahem) white man. ((Male is an adjective – pls stop using it as a noun folks) I have endured racism since the 5th grade when i was bussed into minority neighborhood schools. I was pelted with rocks from apartment buildings in Mexico as a serviceman. I have fought against white bikers out west. Except for his bank account and experience, the miscreant in Spring Hill who shot the little girl in the face is the same miscreant who shot all those people in Nevada. There are unimaginably bad people in the world. There are far more, thank God, compassionate, honest people. Be alert for the bad ones but focus on the good ones!

You are have been deceived by a group of mostly lawyers in D.C. who are quickly ruining this country with their re-election scheming. Think about it, you and I pay these people to represent us. They spend the vast majority of their time and energy working for their own reelection, as well as that of their fellow party members. Until or unless term limits are enacted and this stops, we will live in a country run by people with law degrees who act like the worst used-car salesman stereotype possible.

Perhaps it’s age, but you will someday see what a total fabricated farce this all is. Its all laughable B.S. and faux outrage instigated by people pushing an agenda, an agenda starring – or course – them. A united country scares them to their core. A dis-united country is powerless and pliable. Didn’t honest Abe tell us this? (A house divided…….)

There is no Constitutional amendment protecting you from being offended. If you get offended easily and lash out, you are a lazy coward who prefers the bully over the debater. You deserve to be offended. Suck it.

I have no agenda other than to live in peace, and I want the same for you.

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 6:25 pm
  • So much anger in some people’s lives. Try being kind it will make you all feel better. God didn’t preach hate. Sad never had all these problems and hate growing up. Respect goes both ways. Throwing paper towels at people is not asking for respect. Just saying…

How is that anywhere close to equal? 14 percent does not equal 25 percent.

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 2:08 pm
    • Because you stopped reading at 1 in 7. “They are less likely to report the crime.” Which means 1 in 7 reported it and at least another 1 in 7 didn’t and aren’t part of the statistic. 2 in 7 is 28%…. minimum.

      Saturday, 7 October 2017, 6:35 am
      • that does not mean that, you’ve jumped to a wrong conclusion.

        Sunday, 8 October 2017, 1:53 am
  • Thank you Tom for this article. I quit posting here a long time ago because of some of the ridiculous comments made when I would post. I have to wonder how much longer it will be before those of us who share these views are removed from society to live in FEMA camps and “reeducated” to properly think. Remember all these mass shootings are about one thing and one thing only………… Government control and removal of firearms from the public domain.

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 8:58 am
  • A thought provoking editorial. I suspect you agonized over whether to publish as it would certainly alienate a portion of your readers. I admire your courage.

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 7:13 am
    • no it’s not, there are no facts nor perspectives that imply or evoke thought. you should get out more.

      Friday, 6 October 2017, 8:28 am
      • also courage to whine? he knows that the more divivise and hateful he is, the more views and clicks.

        Friday, 6 October 2017, 8:29 am
    • LOL!! It’s funny anyone would consider this “thought”. It’s mindless, thought-free garbage that could only get support from people who’ve never cracked a history book; and certainly have never been able to integrate complex information.

It’s what I would expect from a low income county, who re-elects “a” prostitute and cocaine loving commissioner because he has an R after his name and will continue to look the other way for his rich constituents.

OK, so it’s not really funny, it’s just sad.

  • Obama built this….

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 6:13 am
  • Thank you Tom for the your editorial.I am thankful that I lived in the best of times and now I fear for our grandchildren. It has become about the “me” generation, not about loving our neighbors as ourselves. Sad

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 5:14 am
    • unless your neighbors are black or gay

      Friday, 6 October 2017, 8:28 am
  • People that get on this site & put the reporting & reportor down need to just go somewhere else to troll!!!! Get a life!!!! He is reporting our news here in Hernando. There are so many people that have nothing better to do than bash Tom & His reporting, well get the hell off this site & get a real life!!! Probably the same people that sit their ass at home on disability flipping through the Tv channels & complaining that their neighbors are cutting their yards too early in the am. Get a life, go volunteer , get off your ass & function in society , then you would be too tired to be so darn negative toward everyone & everything!!!!! Thank you for all your great local news & reporting!! Be safe out there, Tom!!

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 5:09 am
    • There’s nothing wrong with being white, or black, or brown, and being proud of your color and history. Im white, and I will NEVER look at that as a flaw, no one’s gonna make ME feel bad or guilty for something that took place way before I was born, fuck that, and if anyone, black or white, comes at me with that bullshit, it’s gonna be a cap in their ass is what I’m poppin.

      Friday, 6 October 2017, 9:31 am
      • how are you helpful? threatening anyone who has an opinion different than you? really? grow up cowboy

        Saturday, 7 October 2017, 2:44 am
    • this article isn’t reporting the news, and you’ve listed quite a lot of things that you feel apply to anyone who doesn’t agree with you. you should be ashamed.

      Saturday, 7 October 2017, 2:43 am
  • how can they be “gender attacks”, “race attacks”, and political attacks if those are true, studied facts? they’re not attacks, they were pointing out the problem.

really, tom lemons vs. time magazine?

and because some incidents don’t get reported against males, that does NOT “make them essentially an equal occupancy”. that statement was lunacy.

you showed your true colors here.

wccms have never faced as much prejudice and persecution as other groups, and they probably never will. but dividing everyone into groups constantly is divivise and harmful, not to mention nonsensical.

how exactly are liberals the snowflakes when you guys publish something stuff like this whiny point of view.

and why didn’t you cover the PR event, rather than a hateful one with absolutely only white people attended?

there’s something blatantly wrong and/or laughably uninformed in every other paragraph of this drivel.

and so what if joe biden worked with feminists to pass a violence act? how can any of that sentence be a bad thing? working together to protect one another are what we’re ALL supposed to do.

if you guys don’t like the melting pot, then go find your own stolen land to govern.

    Friday, 6 October 2017, 4:29 am
  • Trump set (and continues to set) the tone of our political discourse. His approach from day one was to attack and insult. Lying Ted, Little Marco, Crazy Bernie, Crooked Hilary. And that won him the election. Now everyone feels free to take off the gloves and be nasty. Sorry, that is our reality now.

But to your point, what you are describing is exactly what every minority group has gone through in this country. They are attacked and blamed for all of the ills this county faces.

Whites comprise about 60% to 70% of the US population. White males make up about half of that. White Christian males is another subset. Then add in conservative white christian males and you are probably under 20%. Welcome to minority status.

  • Yikes! I’m disappointed that you think you deliver real news, real fast. Slobby thinking, poor context, knee-jerk simplicity. Consider options, organize your thinking, plan articles so they are logical, and stop the focus on appealing to the lowest common denominator. You are demeaning yourself and the community you want to represent. Embarrassing! First, you must engage your imagination so you can inspire your readership. Focusing on the negatives, as you are here, is not a successful approach. Suggest solutions. Build something. Help people understand what they can do, individually, to improve our country. Then you may find the power of truth. And advocacy. You can do it. We need you to do it.

  • Faith – believing in something you can’t see. I have faith, faith that each one of us can be a part of the change. It’s the same fight as years past, just magnified by more media outlets. We don’t have to agree; however, compromising just a tad can make all the difference. As long as I can remember black has been black and white has been white, both are crayon colors, not people. We all bleed red. It starts with you. Prayer is necessary for those who believe and have hope for change and to me that’s doing something. It’s so disturbing how dysfunctional we are as a country, it just seems so simple to change…

  • We are abusing our own country and all our rights. Try burning the Isis flag in their part of the world and see how long before your head would fly off your neck. If everyone would leave others alone and live ones own life and take care of our own families life would be so much better for us all.

    Thursday, 5 October 2017, 9:05 pm
    • right, that’s exactly why our freedom to do such a thing without losing our literal heads is a good thing. you guys act like you don’t think so.
