Fathers and Daughters: An Evening Fit for a Princess
HERNANDO – Traditionally, when fathers and sons spend time together, it usually involves sports, mechanics, hunting, fishing, or teaching them important values on how to be a respectable man. It’s sometimes more difficult for fathers to bond with daughters, the same way as they would with a boy, leaving the “girly stuff” exclusively in mom’s department. For families who have endured a divorced or separation, fathers and daughters can become even more alienated from each other.
The Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department understands this dilemma and for the last 10 years, has hosted the Annual Father Daughter Dance. This two evening event, allows Dads and Daughters to put on their best outfits and dance the night away in setting fit for a princess.
The 11th Annual Father Daughter Dance will be held Friday February 6th and Saturday February 7th from 6-9 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, located at 20428 Cortez Blvd. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, January 7th and can be purchased for $15.00 per person, online at www.hernandocounty.us/parks_rec or by visiting the office at 205 E. Ft. Dade Ave in Brooksville. If you have questions regarding the event call 352-754-4031. (See Flyer Below)
The event is open to ALL ages, so don’t miss this once a year opportunity to spend quality time with your daughter and create memories that will last forever.
