Fender Bender Leads to Daytime DUI Charge
SPRING HILL – A simple fender bender turned into a DUI charge for one man today, after he rear ended another vehicle on Spring Hill Drive near Kenlake Ave.
Sources say, after deputies were dispatched to the call, they received information that a verbal dispute was occurring and one of the drivers was possibly under the influence.
RNRF arrived on scene and observed the driver of the Silver Durango, 32-year-old Ryan Thomas Lipps, swaying back and forth, inside the vehicle.
According to jail records, Lipps was booked into the Hernando County Jail, just before 8:00 p.m. this evening and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
There were no reported injuries, as a result of the accident.
