Fire Destroys Mobile RV – No Injuries Reported

BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue responded to what was originally believed to be a large barn fire, at an address on Mondon Hill Road around 2:00 p.m. this afternoon. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered that the fire was not a barn, but a mobile RV.

Witnesses say they heard explosions before the RV became fully engulfed. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and there are no reports of injuries or damage to other structures.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

It should be noted that interim Brooksville Fire Chief, David Freda, has now accepted a permanent position as Fire Chief of the Brooksville Fire Department. Chief Freda replaces 30-year-veteren Chief Tim Mossgrove, after he accepted a position in another district.

It will never change unless the voters get out and cast ballots for honest, professional and non self serving leadership.
