Gang Member Charged with Drug Trafficking, Neighbors Relieved

SPRING HILL – Yesterday, RNRF received dozens of requests for information regarding the presence of multiple Sheriff’s Deputies at a residence on Pike Ave.

After receiving a full report from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, we now know that a self-proclaimed member the Folk Nation Gang was arrested on numerous drug related charges.

According to reports, just before 6:00 p.m. yesterday, Detectives executed a search warrant at 11404 Pike Ave and arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Lee Huff.

Officials say Huff was making narcotics transactions in his front yard at the time of his arrest.

Huff was found to be in possession of 120 pills of hydromorphone and nearly $700 in cash.  A search of his bedroom revealed a baggie of methamphetamine, marijuana, scales, and syringes.

Huff, who is a convicted felon, is no stranger to interactions with deputy sheriffs, say officials.  In 2013, Huff was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone.  He was arrested again in 2014 for Trafficking in Hydromorphone.
Vice detectives advised that Huff was selling at least 200 pills and methamphetamine to approximately 50 customers every day.  The street value of the pills alone is estimated to be approximately $7,000, according to officials.

Detectives also determined that Huff was associated with Paul Bodisch, whose house was raided by the Vice and Narcotics Unit on April 21st of this year.  Click Here For the Paul Bodisch Report

Huff goes by the name Romio on his Facebook page and claims to be Gettin it on my own at Business Man in his profile.

Neighbors say they are glad to see Huff go and that he has been dealing drugs for a long time in that area.

Huff is charged as follows:
–    Sale and Possession of Methamphetamine (2 counts)
–    Possession of Methamphetamine
–    Sale of a Controlled Substance  (5 counts)
–    Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
–    Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Device (4 counts)
–    Possession of a Structure for Sale of Controlled Substance
–    Possession of Paraphernalia (4 counts)
–    DWLSR (3 counts)
–    Trafficking in Hydromorphone
–    Possession of a Structure to Traffic in Hydromorphone
–    Possession of Marijuana under 20g.
–    Bond Amount $ 111,000.

  • Ron, hope this girl does well and vets that help you say. Just don’t walk away from her in her times of need, I am sure she will do well. Prayers go out to anyone who is willing and admits they need the help. That is the first big step. Good luck.

  • If the vet can chip my dog, then these people need to be chipped, too. At least, my dog behaves, and can be returned if lost. These creeps can have their chips updated…they only have to invent the technology and do it. Tracking their chips, too, would be good.

  • The criminals are released and put on probation because the probation system is a cash cow..its that simple The county would much rather have someone on probation paying the costly monthly monitoring fees…

  • If I would have only known that there was so much crime here in Hernando County I would have never here.

    • There wasn’t a couple of decades ago. It’s the “catch and release” mentality of the court system, paired with the bottom -feeding lawyers who advertise on television….you know who they are.

  • A close personal friend had her life torn to pieces by relapsing after an emotional breakdown with no thanks to this clown. Now we are working to go through the steps to get professional help and rehabilitation and are determined to get her life back on track. So it is my personal opinion that this piece of s#[* stays locked away for ever if only to spare others the same health issues and heart ache. Everyone makes mistakes and or stumbles at some point but it takes special trash like this guy to feed off of and exploit anothers time of weakness.

  • TOM, it would be nice if you could do a report on the revolving door in our local justice system… HCSO put their lives at risk conducting lengthy investigations, and raids on drug dealers. While costing our county/state a/ great deal of money, time and resources. It would be interesting to hear the thoughts and opinions of the men and women who place themselves in this danger while protecting and serving our county, only to see the same criminals they have arrested be released right back out on the streets, on probation (a slap in the face for the HCSO and a slap on the wrist for the drug dealers). A current example, look into Charles Parker and his latest arrest 5/25/2016. On 9/22/15, RNRF reported on a drug raid in Spring Hill. Mr.Parker’s wife, Danielle Parker, was part of that round up. Charles Parker eluded police during the round up, until he lawyered up and turned himself in at his convenience on 9/22/15 (since he hasnt worked in years I’d have to guess selling drugs pays well). According to public records he violated probation his 1st month, 5/25/16. It would be interesting to know how he violated, since the traffic and people coming and going at the Parker’s home, in our otherwise nice neighborhood, has not slowed down and the drug dealings are still so obvious. On the heels of the latest arrest of Mr. Parker, the teenage child has been removed (once again) from the home. I pray that this child is kept away from this family and given a better opportunity at life….

  • Wow. This guy lived up the street along time ago when I was a kid. He was always trouble and tried to get the neighborhood kids to join his gang he created called “BLOND DRAGONS” just another worthless POS,, he also like to graffiti peoples houses. Hope he goes away for a long time. Not worth for him to come back to real world. He can just go to prison and play little gang banging in prison.

    Thursday, 26 May 2016, 8:06 pm
  • Tom, why didn’t you do a story on the drug bust on Elgrove St May 12th?
I asked you 2 or 3 other times under different articles, you never answered me though.

I’m happy when I read these articles about big drug busts, shows us HCSO is doing
a good by trying to get the scumbags off the streets!!

    Great job HCSO!
