  • If this was a Repiblic Service truck that will probably be the excuse they use for not picking my trash up for the third Tuesday in a row. You call to complain and you get connected to a caller service person who puts you on hold for 10 mins then they come back and tell you that can’t reach anyone at the local office. How convenient. Nobody for this damn company ever returns phone calls. Then they still send you a bill expecting you to pay them for being an inferior company. Oh, by the way listen to their recording when you call them. They have a pickup accuracy of 99% according to 2013-2014 stats. What a joke.

  • Seen that happen many years ago when I lived in Dade City. The truck driver just pulled over off the road and dumped the burning garbage and pulled away from it then a fire truck came and put the fire out. The whole episode took about 15 minutes.

    • Yes!! that was back in 2000 i was the driver at that time . When there is a fire we are trained and instructed to open the hopper and pull away as the garbage is released.

    • Seen the same thing when living in Ohio. Why damage the truck your already washing the contents down with water, runoff would be the same or less.
