Hit and Run Injures Two – Suspect May Be Facing Other Charges
SPRING HILL – Officials are on the scene of a hit and run accident that occurred round 8:00 pm this evening, at the intersection of Waycross Drive and Tyler Ave.
According to our sources, the female driver of a white Chevy Cruze struck a minivan at that intersection, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its roof. Two occupants inside the minivan were transported to a local hospital for treatment – their condition remains unknown.
The suspect vehicle was possibly rented from an agency outside of our area, making it difficult for deputies to verify the driver’s identity. Attempts to locate the woman have not been successful so far.
There are unconfirmed reports that the suspect may be wanted in connection with a battery that occurred earlier in the evening.
UPDATE: Sources tell RNRF that the suspect just returned to the scene and has turned herself in. We will bring more on this story as it develops.
UPDATE: March 27th 2015, 12:26 AM – 53-year-old Tamara Jean Skahill of Spring Hill is charged with one count of Hit and Run with Injuries. She is currently behind bars – held on $5,000 Bond.
