Hit and Run with Injuries Involving a Pedestrian

SPRING HILL – We are receiving reports of a hit and run with injuries in front of 11623 Trumbull Drive, where an SUV struck a pedestrian and left the scene.

Unconfirmed sources say the unidentified victim was struck by the vehicle and dragged along the roadway, causing unspecified injuries.

The victim is being transported by ground to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a black Isuzu Rodeo, possibly driven by a white male. The vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Trumbull Drive after the accident.

  • People people… The morons talking about dark clothing… Let me stop for a second. Let me give you retards a bit of an update to modern inventions. We have things called headlights on our vehicles. They are used to illuminate the way ahead of you. If you seriously blame any pedestrian for wearing dark clothing eat a richard n choke. You people need to put the meth n pills away fix ur rotted teeth and have some common sense or common decency and realize some @$$hole hit another person and kept on going. That is all…

  • Fred if the victim is in the wrong for walking in the streets while wearing all black as you say then so be it. However, in this case it was a hit and RUN so dont you think the right thing to do would be stop and get this individual some kind of care? I dont care whos in the wrong we all make mistakes and the responsible decision is to stop and face whatever consequence if necessary. Hope the victim has a speedy recover and the individual brought to justice for their selfish act.

  • If the pedestrians fail to use common sense
Then you expect the drivers to use common sense
If you are hiding in the Dark and in the Road or in between the ditches or white lines or yes sometimes sidewalks yes you are fair game today no matter what town u live in
And in a retirement community u better b lit up like a Christmas tree.

  • Fred if its not the case then y say anything? I grew up there . I’m 34 but when I was 14 a good friend of mine Christopher Wilson ( let his soul be at peace) was struck on springhill Dr by a corrections officer while walking to his gfs house and he was wearing dark clothes. He drove all the way to lecanto before he told anyone he hit something . Chris was 14 and just because he was wearing dark clothes doesn’t mean it was his fault by any means .

Put down the beer or whatever you have and rethink that statement tomorrow . I pray for the victim. Hope they catch the piece of dirt and lock him away for a very long time. Wow amazes me how stupid some people are.?

    • No different than in Tampa, and elsewhere (as usual). I have a friend (in Tampa) who, within the last two weeks, 1) witnessed a 17-year-old girl get hit by an automobile while walking to a school function (thrown in the air, and not seriously injured), and 2) was asked by a pastor to pray for young lady pedestrian who was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle. So, tell me again how Spring Hill is any different than anywhere else?

      Tuesday, 6 October 2015, 10:04 pm
      • Seriously…how can you compare Spring Hill to Tampa?
