Husband Tired of Being Called “Bisexual” Charged with Domestic Assault
BROOKSVILLE – Accusations of same-sex infidelity pushed a husband over the edge Sunday, and that led to a night behind bars.
According to reports, 56-year-old Roberto Rodriguez was drinking with a neighbor across the street from his residence on Barclay Ave, when his wife walked over and made him come home. Once they were back at their residence, Rodriguez says his wife began yelling at him and accusing him of being “bisexual.” Out of anger, Rodriguez stated, “I’m going to f**king kill you,” and started walking towards her. The victim says she was cornered in their bedroom, which she says put her in fear for her life. The victim then smacked Rodriguez in the face with a belt, forcing him to back away from her.
Deputy David Merced arrived on scene and placed Rodriguez into custody for domestic assault. Rodriguez was held without bond for 24-hours and then released on $100.00 bond. Rodriguez has been ordered to have no contact with his wife or return to his residence.
It should be noted that Rodriguez has no prior criminal history.
