Jilted Lover Gets Revenge with Spray Paint, Charged with Stalking and Criminal Mischief
SPRING HILL – A scorned lover is behind bars today, after wreaking havoc on the property his former girlfriend’s mother with a can of spray paint.
According to reports, the victim’s daughter broke up with 49-year-old David Curtiss Myers on April 2nd after a three-year relationship. On the day of the breakup, the victim says Myers held a gun to his head and threatened to kill himself if she left – she left anyway.
Over the last few weeks, Myers made several threats to “take out” the ex-girlfriend’s mother and any potential suitor who is seen dating her.
Officials say Myers has vandalized property at the residence shared by the victim and her mother since June 4th.
On June 19th surveillance video captured Myers spray painting the words “Wh*re, Sl*t, C*nt, and H*e” on the victim’s vehicle, privacy fence, and siding.
On Sunday, contact was made with Myers at his home on Vancouver Road, where he was taken into custody and booked into the Hernando County Jail.
Myers faces two counts of criminal mischief, with damage over $1,000, stalking, and aggravated stalking. Myers remains behind bars, held on $8,000 bond.
