PASCO – RNRF received several requests for information regarding two areas of road blockage on State Road 52, Wednesday afternoon. Sadly, both incidents involved the death of two elderly individuals, as a result of separate traffic accidents.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the first accident occurred just after 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Point Blvd and SR-52 in New Port Richey. The driver of a Ford Taurus, 77-year-old Judith Roka died after she pulled onto SR-52 from Point Blvd, and into the path of another vehicle. The other driver, 39-year-old Christopher Rivenburg sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The second crash occurred less than two hours later at the intersection of SR-52 and Hicks Road in Hudson.

According to reports, 92-year-old Nicholas Mandusic of New Suffolk, New York was driving eastbound on SR-52, when he failed to stop for a vehicle pulling onto SR-52 from Hicks Road. Mandusic was transported to Bayonet Point hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, 56-year-old Pedro Martinez was not injured in the crash.

  • Actually, the 39 yr old that killed the 77 yr old was on drugs at the time. Usually he drinks and drives, but only strong drugs were found in his system. Not surprised that he KILLED that woman. Im sorry for her family bcuz i know what christopher rivenburg is all about. However, i am shocked that they never released info that he was on drugs at the time of the murder. It wasnt a fatal crash, it was murder.

  • How many times can someone wreck vehicles and have numerous citations still have a license? This is a tragedy all the way around. Sadly Florida drops the ball on that aspect. Too many people who should not have the privilege of driving are given numerous chances and then people die….. When is it going to end?

  • Ron Mexico and the other article was a 20 somethin, that had no license no insurance and mowed down an innocent family !92 is probably too old, but fl can’t control out of state drivers and he was from New York!! Not every senior needs to be off the roads plain and simple. Prayers for the victims and families of all involved. May they recover quickly .

  • Tom,

The accident with the 77 year old was very horrific. I passed it when the first paramedic showed up. They were not in a hurry to walk up to her car. Only saw the back end of his car but anyone that was involved is lucky to be alive. Worst crash I’ve ever seen in my life.

  • Chris Rivenburg does not have minor injuries. He has a punctured heart, punctured liver, shattered ankle, bleeding spleen, and keeps having multiple heart attacks. Also a broken leg in which might have to get amputated because heart isn’t strong enough for Surgery. They also had to put a stent in his heart. So that’s minor injuries?
