Man Beaten Twice in Same Day Before Suspect Captured
SPRING HILL – A man’s jealousy got the best of him Saturday, after he says his girlfriend and another man were “being too friendly.” Now he’s facing several charges for beating the suspected suitor, not once, but twice in the same day.
Officials say, the suspect 56-year-old Allen Scott Glenn began arguing with Eric Prebish, while Glenn’s girlfriend, Connie West, cut Prebish’ hair. Without warning, Glenn charged at Prebish and began punching him several times in the face. Glenn fled his residence, located at 5197 Juliet Court, before deputies could arrive on scene. Officials say Prebish sustained a swollen lip that was bleeding and a minor abrasion on his cheek.
A short time later, Glenn returned in the residence to find his girlfriend sitting in her car with Prebish. Glenn approached the car and began punching Prebish in the face once again.
During the second attack, Prebish sustained a golf ball sized bump on his cheek that was bleeding.
The next morning, deputies located Glenn walking near his residence and placed him into custody. During an interview, Glenn admitted to having an argument with Prebish but denied striking him.
Deputy Joey Stokes gave Glenn a statement form to provide his side of the story. While he was writing the statement, Stokes noticed the knuckles on his left hand were injured – consistent with being involved in a physical altercation.
Glenn was transported to the Hernando County Jail and charged with one count of battery and one count of burglary with battery, for reaching into the vehicle during the attack.
