Man Calls 911 on Himself, Claiming DV, to End Relationship
SPRING HILL – On Monday, deputies responded to 11100 Monarch Street, after a man called 911 to report that he had just beaten his live-in girlfriend.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the suspect, 21-year-old Christian Omar Santiago Rondon, who said he pushed and struck his girlfriend in the face with an open hand. Rondon, claims to have anger issues, and didn’t want to live at the residence anymore, due to the constant arguing.
Deputies made contract the victim and her mother, who both advised that no verbal or physical altercation occurred. Deputies saw no obvious sign of injury, so Rondon was not charged with Domestic Battery; however, he was taken into custody and charged with Filing a False Report.
Rondon said he hoped his girlfriend would have confirmed his story, so he could leave the residence.
Rondon remains behind bars at the Hernando County Jail – held on a $1,000 bond.
