Man Charged with Killing Toddler Behind Bars Again, Wife Also Charged
LAND O’ LAKES (PASCO) – Pasco County is reporting the arrest of William C. Perkins, the man who was involved in a fatal accident last April that claimed the life of a 3-year-old girl and seriously injured her mother, and 1-year-old brother. Perkins, 27, is charged with three counts of driving on a suspended license resulting in injury or death.
After posting a $30,000 bond on May 2nd, Perkins appeared to be making positive changes to his life, as many often do when facing serious felony charges that could result in numerous years behind bars.
According to his personal Facebook page, Perkins opened a fencing company and even posted a blue lives matter image last month, in honor of the five murdered police officers in Texas.
Despite the optimistic display, Perkins found himself behind bars again yesterday on charges of grand theft. Perkins’ wife Jacqueline Perkins, 24, was also taken into custody and faces the same charge.
William Perkins has a long history of arrests in Hernando County, which include fraud, dealing in stolen property, larceny, and battery.
During the booking process in Hernando County last April, William Perkins requested that his mugshot be exempt from public display due to his relation to a former law enforcement officer. Hernando County Officials granted his request, despite four previous mugshots visible on the HCSO Jail website.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office website displays William’s most recent mugshot but it is not known if he made a request for exemption or if officials denied his request. Jacqueline’s mugshot is not displayed on the PCSO website.
We will bring more on this story once the details of the case have been released.
