Man Charged with Sexual Battery on a Child Faces $1.25 Million Bond

BROOKSVILLE – A Brooksville man is behind bars today, facing a $1.25 million bond on charges he sexually battered a child under 12.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released the details of the case at this time, but according to the Hernando County Jail website, 44-year-old James Preston Boyd of 11216 Eskimo Curlew Road is charged with sexual battery on a child over the age of 12, lewd and lascivious on a child under the age of 12 (4 counts), and sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.
