Man Shot, Killed After Charging at Deputies with Knife
UPDATE: 11:00 P.M. – During a press conference moments ago, officials confirmed that the suspect passed away as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
According to officials, around 8:00 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 38339 Higginson Road after receiving a 911 call from the suspect’s mother who claimed that her son and girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute. The suspect’s mother further advised that her son was extremely violent and that he would stab four or five deputies before they tased him. Upon arrival, the suspect, who has yet to be identified, fled into a trailer behind the home. Deputies pursued the suspect and began communicating with the man through a window in the trailer. During the negotiations the suspect made motions as if he were cutting his throat and wrist. At some point deputies were communicating with the suspect at the front door of the trailer when he suddenly charged at them with a knife. As a result, one of the deputies shot the suspect several times. Officials say the suspect died while being transported to a local trauma center.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS (PASCO) – The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred earlier this evening.
Information is still developing but according to officials, Deputies responded a domestic disturbance where a man fled into a trailer behind a house, armed with a knife. The man threatened suicide and then charged at deputies, forcing them to fire their weapons. The suspect was struck and transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Officials are expected to release more details later this evening.
