Man Injured in Early Morning Stabbing – Motive, Suspect Undisclosed

BROOKSVILLE – Detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office say they’re investigating an early morning stabbing that occurred in the area of West Street and Wildwood Drive.

Officials aren’t releasing many details at this time, but investigators say a male victim was treated at a local hospital for a stab wound and later released with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident does not appear to be domestic in nature and was not a random act, according to officials.

Investigators have not released suspect information or a possible motive, but neighbors speculate that the incident may have been drug related.
