Man Throws 7-Month Pregnant Girlfriend to Ground During Domestic Dispute
SPRING HILL – A couple’s domestic dispute turned violent Sunday, after a pregnant woman says she was thrown to the ground by her live-in boyfriend.
According to officials, Deputies responded to an address on Newhope Road after receiving reports of a domestic battery. The victim says her boyfriend, 25-year-old Kyle Christopher Cloyd, grabbed her by the neck and threw her on the bed. After yelling at Cloyd, the victim says he grabbed her by the arm and threw her on the ground. Deputies say there was obvious redness on the victim’s neck and right arm.
Cloyd confessed to grabbing his girlfriend by the head but denies throwing her to the ground. He also says prior to putting his hands on her, she punched him in the face three times. Deputies did not observe injuries to Cloyd but they did detect a strong odor of alcohol. Cloyd admitted to drinking a six-pack of beer, leading up to the altercation.
Due to the victim being 7-months pregnant, Cloyd is charged with felony domestic battery on a pregnant person.
Cloyd has since posted a $1,000 bond.
