Man to be Taken Off Life Support After Pedestrian Crash

According to officials, the victim, 29-year-old Randy Eugene Hicks was standing in the median on Commercial Way, when for reasons unknown he stepped into the path of a car traveling in the northbound lanes. The driver of a 2015 Honda Fit, 25-year-old Jennifer Nicole Azzaritti was unable to stop and struck Hicks – critically injuring him.
Hicks was airlifted to St Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa for treatment, where his condition has deteriorated.
Less than two weeks after his tragic accident, Hicks is expected to be removed from life-support, according to his wife Ashley Hicks.
Hicks will leave behind a wife and three children ages 5, 7, and 5 months.
