Man Tries to Pass Counterfeit Bills at Local Strip Club, Faces Felony Charges After Management Tracks Him Down

HUDSON (PASCO) – A Spring Hill man is facing felony charges after he tried to pass counterfeit currency inside a local strip club.

According to officials, 27-year-old Eric Michael Mullady entered Lollipops Gentlemen Club located at 18329 US-19, Sunday evening, and handed a dancer two counterfeit $10.00 bills, in exchange for single $1.00 bills. Suspicious of the unusual transaction, the club’s manager, Brian Jacobs attempted to confront Mullady but he had already left the club.

Jacobs and other club employees searched for Mullady and found him outside ICON’s Gentlemen’s Club, located across the street at 18728 US-19. Jacobs says when he confronted Mullady about the counterfeit bills, “he threw a wad of cash under his car.” Two of Mullady’s alleged accomplices fled before deputies arrived on scene.

During their investigation, deputies determined that Mullady was in possession of three counterfeit $10.00 bills, eight $20.00 bills, and one $5.00 bill.

Jacob positively identified Mullady as the suspect and he was charged with Possession of Counterfeit Currency and Uttering Forged Notes.

Mullady was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

Since LivePD is still covering Pasco County, there is a good chance that Mullady’s arrest could appear on an upcoming episode.

  • I will tell you one thing, if you show up to either of those strip clubs with any real money, the girls who work there will put xanax in your drink and then when you pass out, they will help you outside (where the cameras have no angle) and then rifle through your pockets and leave you passed out in the woods or in the back seat of some one else’s car. It’s happened. never go to a strip club with your wallet and leave your bank cards at home. only bring as much actual cash as you are willing to lose, and never let them deliver the drinks to you.

  • Well the sawbuck wasn’t the only thing “counterfeit” in the strip club.

  • Seems like a set up to me.
How lollipops even accepted counterfeit bills for a transaction is beyond me, if this is not a set up and the bills were accepted why would staff from lollipops go out like dog the bounty hunter to chase this guy down?
    Are citizen arrests now permitted????
I would think a phone call from lollipops to Icon would have sufficed
The only good thing to come of this is now I know what bar to avoid knowing their staff is willing to leave their job to create a publicity stunt in the name of what protecting themselves, or covering for their own staffs use of counterfeit bills
    #CRIMINAL INFORMANT
last word how is it that the manager from lollipops did all that last night, got the article written and became a photographer of the event for this article

    • How a business can accept counterfeit bills when it’s dark in those places shouldn’t have to be explained to you. People involved in illicit businesses, for example drug dealing, don’t have a lot of places they can enjoy their money and 100 dollar bills are not rare in those places.
The reason the staff might go out looking and look at ICON would be called modus operandus. Following a pattern. If it worked in one place why not try it in a similar one that is close by? And, you get to look at naked girls. This isn’t rocket science, Chris.
What do you mean are citizen arrests now permitted? Citizen arrests has always been permitted. How can you not know that? You can detain someone, until police arrive, if you witness a felony or have reasonable belief someone committed a felony. Been that way for a long, long time.
They couldn’t see a guy they would recognize through a phone line is why a phone call wouldn’t suffice and why looking in person would work far better. Which it obviously did.
The article likely would have been written, not because a Lollipop manager got the article written, but because it was an event that was newsworthy.

    • Well Chris, don’t shop at Sam’s Club then. They’ve had people still liquor and cartons of cigarettes in a buggy recently. Their employees walked outside to get an identification of the people.
