Moon Lake Murder Suspects Have Spring Hill Ties
NEW PORT RICHEY – News of the Moon Lake Slayings shocked residents in Pasco County this morning, where three people were found shot inside a mobile home at 9552 Adler Street. Justin Huckeby,25 and Shane Newland, 42 are both confirmed dead but the identity of the third victim, reportedly a young female, has not been released.
The carnage began just before 5:00 am, when deputies responded to reports of shots fired, in the area of Bandbury Ave and Adler Street.
Authorities are searching for two suspects, 26-year-old Christopher Lee Duncan and 38-year-old Dora Delgado; both are considered armed and dangerous.
The couple was last seen driving a blue Ford SUV, bearing Florida Tag CDA A98, but their direction of travel is unknown.
Sheriff Chris Nocco says the shootings may have been a “targeted hit” and there is speculation that the crime was drug related.
Christopher Duncan has ties to Hernando County; according to Jail records, his last known address was on Foothill Street in Spring Hill. Duncan attended Springstead High School and still has several friends and family in the area.
Duncan served time in the Florida Department of Corrections for convictions related to Weapons charges, Resisting Arrest, and Grand Theft Auto.
