Multi-Vehicle Rollover Crash Injures at Least Four, Southbound Commercial Way Shut Down

WEEKI WACHEE – At least four people are reportedly injured after a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Commercial Way and Hexam Road.

There are unconfirmed reports that two heavily damaged vehicles rolled over as a result of the collision and possibly three other vehicles were involved.

Four patients have been transported to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment of what are considered traumatic injuries.

The southbound lanes of Commercial Way are closed at this time.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

  • U.S. 19 & Hexam Road need street lights every 100 yards w/ Stop Lights at every street corner. That way we can emulate New Port Richey’s urban sprawl and have zero quality of life just like them. We definitely don’t need to be making complete stops at stop signs and if it’s wet and raining be sure to drive faster and take more chances. It’s always a good idea to pull out in front of whoever you can, because using caution and thinking safety 1st is always for the other guy. Jesus, F Christ is there no common sense left!

  • That intersession does not need a traffic light. What it needs is for people to have patience. Trying to out run the on coming cars is so silly. If you’re in that big of a hurry you really should leave earlier.

  • I use to live off hexam a few years ago and since then there’s a lot more traffic.traffic light is definitely needed.
