Multiple Agencies Assist in Search for Suspects Who Fled from Traffic Stop
SPRING HILL – Law enforcement from three agencies assisted in the search for multiples suspects who officials say fled from a traffic stop earlier this morning.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of County Line Road and Commercial Way, when at least two suspects fled on foot.
Deputies, Troopers, K9, and an air unit searched a wooded near Holiday Springs RV Park, where it is believed the pursuit began.
There is very little information available on the suspect’s description, but sources say the male suspect may have been wearing brown khaki pants.
There are unconfirmed reports that a taxi picked up the suspects and dropped the male suspect off at 6511 Treehaven Drive and a female off at the Dollar Tree on Wendy Court in Spring Hill.
Numerous law enforcement officers surrounded the residence on Treehaven Drive but it is unknown if the suspect was taken into custody.
The only charges that are known at this time are fleeing to elude.
We will bring more on this story as it develops.
